Silky Morning. by Nathaniel Harrington

This morning was so smooth!!! Its rare when the texture of the water feels like silk due to complete lack of wind. It was calm, it was beautiful, and it was a blast. One of these days I have to talk someone into a body surfing sesh at 5:30 am... Any takers? Lets go get some surf!

Great start to yet another great day.

Clean Vs Chop. by Nathaniel Harrington

Post could also be titled Morning Vs Evening... But I'll save that for another day.

Here's two barrels that I had open on my desktop from recent shoots. The first is from a few weeks ago in the morning, and the second is from a beautiful sunset this evening.

Which is better?

Morning Glass with some off shore winds and a touch of backwash. This wave if near perfect.

Pounding on shore winds with senseless surf pushing in, a ridiculously awesome flare that somehow barreled, and a beautiful sunset.

Gotta love the uniqueness of surf.

Glassy Perfection, Yet Again. by Nathaniel Harrington

GoooodMorning!!

Wow. I cannot tell you how stoked I am every time I wake up in the morning to go watch the sunrise while playing in the Ocean. 6am is the best thing ever when it looks like this.

Orange Sunrise over the Atlantic.

Orange Sunrise over the Atlantic.

I was blessed this morning with some of the glassiest barrels I've shot to date. I'm continually surprised at how fun the surf is here in Vero. Check out the slideshow below to see what I mean. :)

Thanks again for checking in to my blog! Hope you also had an awesome, Blessed day.

Sloppy Surf with good surfing and sloppy shots. by Nathaniel Harrington

Summed up the description on this post. Here are a few surf shots from the past week & weekend where I have seen some fairly good surf and some pretty sloppy surf. I shot with a few guys who surf really well, and I have managed to ruin a lot of perfectly good moments...

Here's a few moments I wish turned out better... but, oh well. There's always more to learn and get better at in surf photography! I'm just glad that I have friends who rip!

Keith found the funkiest wave we've ever seen. It jacked up just as he dropped in to give him this joy ride. The conditions were a little unusual this morning at Monster Hole. Well surfed Keith!

One that snuck by...

Keith checking out mini tubes at Monster Hole.

Those shots were from last friday morning. My first time shooting at Monster Hole. There was a heavy southerly wind bouncing me around everywhere and a lot of current moving all of us around. It was a trick to get any work at all done. Super thankful for the opportunity to swim out there though!

These shots are from a week ago... Surfed with Nate & Jim Gallagher at Sebastian Inlet. It was a lot of fun out there this morning but there really weren't to many waves for them to surf. Nate's first wave is the one shown below and it was the best wave of the session. Otherwise we were pretty much just bobbers waiting for sharks out there. :)

Tube! Nate Gallagher found the best  corner he could have found right here.

A little later a wave allowed for a quick bottom turn and he drove through the crashing lip. Well surfed.

Pastor Jim Gallagher found a couple fun corners on the inside.

It's been fun and we are blessed to have surf! Hope it keeps on coming in!

Thanks for checking in.
